Some children might simply enjoy seeing how this done others might want to try to do the project along with Ms. Fei after the first viewing.
This is appropriate for children with the manual dexterity to thread a large needle and work with sharp objects safely. Younger children will require some adult supervision and guidance.
You will need a piece of linen or light colored fabric (approximately 12 inches square); one large sewing needle with an eye big enough for a child to thread it; two or three different colors of embroidery thread or yarn; a pair of scissors; and a pencil.
