PEL with ECE endorsement required.<\/p>\n<p>This position is related to our afterschool program so candidate will also be assigned 1\/2 time school related office duties to fill out full-time schedule.<\/p>\n<p>EOE<\/p>\n<p class=\"v1MsoNormal\"><b>Responsibilities of EC-PEL Teacher<\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"v1MsoNormal\">Ensure child well\u2011being through language\u2011rich interactions, individualized routines, and thoughtfully conducted assessments\u2014respecting performance standards established by SEAC, DCFS, IDHS, ISBE, and other funding partners.<\/li>\n<li class=\"v1MsoNormal\">Conduct developmental screenings in accordance with program requirements.<\/li>\n<li class=\"v1MsoNormal\">Deliver a research\u2011based early learning curriculum aligned with Illinois state standards and SEAC&#8217;s Bridge\u2011building and cross\u2011cultural teaching philosophy.<\/li>\n<li class=\"v1MsoNormal\">Administer quarterly child assessments using\u00a0<b>Teaching Strategies GOLD<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li class=\"v1MsoNormal\">Facilitate family conferences at least twice annually.<\/li>\n<li class=\"v1MsoNormal\">Engage families through school events, meetings, and in coordinating smooth kindergarten transitions.<\/li>\n<li class=\"v1MsoNormal\">Maintain detailed educational records and documentation for each child, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.<\/li>\n<li class=\"v1MsoNormal\">Facilitate regular classroom team meetings to align strategy and student needs.<\/li>\n<li class=\"v1MsoNormal\">Attend all-staff meetings to coordinate and collaborate with the broader program community.<\/li>\n<li class=\"v1MsoNormal\">Actively participate in\u00a0<b>Reflective Supervision<\/b>, a structured, trusting, and collaborative process that promotes professional growth through dialogue and reflective supervision<\/li>\n<li class=\"v1MsoNormal\">Report directly to the Director of the Child Care Program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"v1MsoNormal\"><b>PEL Requirement<\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"v1MsoNormal\">A valid\u00a0<b>Illinois Professional Educator License<\/b>\u00a0with an\u00a0<b>Early Childhood Education endorsement<\/b>\u00a0is required.<\/li>\n<li class=\"v1MsoNormal\"><b>Level\u202f5 Gateway Credential<\/b>\u00a0is preferred.<\/li>\n<li class=\"v1MsoNormal\"><b>Illinois Director Credential<\/b>\u00a0is a plus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"v1MsoNormal\"><b>Salary Range<\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"v1MsoNormal\"><b>$28\u2013$32 per hour<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"v1MsoNormal\"><b>Benefits<\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"v1MsoNormal\">Health insurance coverage (employer covers approximately 65%)<\/li>\n<li class=\"v1MsoNormal\">Paid Time Off (PTO)<\/li>\n<li class=\"v1MsoNormal\">Retirement plan<\/li>\n<li class=\"v1MsoNormal\">Opportunities for continuous professional development<\/li>\n<li class=\"v1MsoNormal\">A cross-cultural, collaborative, and inclusive work environment<\/li>\n<li class=\"v1MsoNormal\">Tuition reimbursements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Bridge International School at South-East Asia Center has been serving the Uptown, Chicago neighborhood for over 40 years.
