South-East Asia Center (SEAC) hosted a vaccine clinic at the end of September that served about 95 community and team members. The number of people coming in for vaccines was steady all day and then really ballooned right at the end.<\/p>\n

The amazing team from Jewel-Osco were such heroes and did a great job assisting our staff to provide this much needed and appreciated service.<\/p>\n

The 2024 COVID booster is based on new COVID strains and offers protection that prior vaccines do not. While some people experience side effects such as headaches and mild fever after the shot, those effects are far less dangerous than falling sick with COVID.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Options for Vaccination Clinics and Events<\/strong>
\nThere will be a free vaccination clinic for the 47th Ward on Saturday, October 19, 2024. No insurance is needed.<\/p>\n

Another option is the Uptown Clinic at 845 W. Wilson, 2nd Level. They provide free new COVID and flu inoculations on M, W, F from 8 AM to 3 PM and T, Th, 9 AM\u00a0 to 4 PM. They take walk-ins, but pre-registration is advised.<\/p>\n
