Local seniors gathered with Alderpersons Leni Mania-Hoppenworth and Matt Martin as well as representatives from the offices of State Senator Simmons and State Rep Kelly Cassidy to enjoy a pre-Thanksgiving luncheon November 26, 2024.
A special soup was prepared by the South-East Asia Center food service staff. Turkeys were roasted by Sun Wah BBQ, accompanied by prawns donated by Park & Shop Supermarket and vegetables from Tai Nam Market.
Thanks to SEAC friends a staff for providing a mix of Asian songs for entertainment.
A variety of special luncheons are planned throughout the year, adding periodic celebrations to the Golden Diners lunches prepared daily. The spirit of the program is to create sense of community belonging and create an energetic atmosphere for seniors to share a meal with friends.
